a firm believer

I'm a firm believer in...

The magic of March Madness. (and this girl picked three upsets yesterday, what up!?)

Dark chocolate.

Candles from Bath and Body Works

Cardigans.

Blossoming trees.

"It's a funny thing about life, if you refuse to accept anything but the best, you very often get it." --W. Somerset Maugham

Playing Primary songs & Hymns on the piano to soothe your soul.

Button-up shirts.

The Utah Jazz. (even if they are horrible right now...who wants to join me on my campaign to get rid of Big Al and leave Mo Williams on the bench?)

Doing the dishes after every meal.

Going on random drives with my brother and sister.

Fifteen almonds a day (maybe even more).

Spending just one day, but the entire day in Disneyland and walking down Main Street USA at night when the lights are twinkly and magical.

iPod shuffle magic.

Lunch dates during breaks on school days.

Wearing lots of pearls.

Feeling the sand between your toes at the beach.

Some relax time after a test day or presentation day or a day of tests and/or presentations.

Having a Kathleen Kelly moment at least once a week, whether it's playing "Dreams" while going to work and having all the confidence in the world or some late night introspection about your life..."Do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around?"

The Savior's Atonement and having faith to expand your perspective.

Taking time to help a struggling friend, no matter what your circumstances are.

Reciprocity, a.k.a. the golden rule.

Realizing we can't always do it all and do it all perfectly.

Learning to forgive yourself and others.

A lot of stripes and polka-dots.

Creating some "heavenly happiness" in every single day.

Happy Friday!
I hope you all have fun plans for the weekend!
